biomastecDanube submits project proposals for grants that focus in particular at the interface between the priorities of national and regional smart specialisation strategies, the fields of action of the Federal Government's High-Tech Strategy and the priorities of the EU strategy for the Danube region. At the moment, the following projects are to be materialised into research and innovation actions.

• Project Idea 1: Use of Sewage Sludge as Substrate for Biogas Production
• Project Idea 2: Technologies to Convert Sewage Sludge to Pellets for Energetic Reasons
• Project Idea 3: Monitoring and Simulation System of the Erosion and Desertification Phenomena in the Danube River Basin - Creation of a Response Strategy & Amelioration
• Project Idea 4: Network Creation for the Capitalisation of the Genus Miscanthus and other Energy Crops in the Danube Region

The submission of proposals under relevant priority areas of the Instruments for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) are carried out when they enable cooperation with German applicants through complementary measures (e. g. in the IPA component "Cross-Border Cooperation").
