EAP is the first energy management agency established in Bulgaria by the EC.
In pursuing its agenda, EAP carries out feasibility studies, energy analyses, energy project identification, development and management, research and testing activities in the field of solid biofuels and compost and air quality modelling.

Its priorities include: energy efficiency in buildings, EE and RES in SMEs, the development of sustainable energy communities and SEAPs within the EC’s Covenant of Mayors initiative, sustainable transport and mobility management and energy and environmental education. Its services are utilised by governmental entities, the business community and consumers.

EAP has honed its expertise through developing and managing more than 45 RES and EE energy projects in partnership with national and international organisations. EAP’s work is based on a quality management system and a code of ethics signed by the staff, management board and associated experts. The experts within EAP are experienced in applying integrated approaches, analysis and solutions that encourage local authorities and communities to develop and implement sustainable strategies, plans and projects. Energy Agency of Plovdiv have been working for many years on European projects and clients, and at the same time contributing to the development of local energy efficiency and renewable energies solutions for energy independence.
